Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed (encrypted) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text. When you run a channel extraction, we store the resulting data report in your account so you can access it later from your dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to identify your account and, if necessary, to contact you about your account (e.g. password resets). We use your extraction history solely to display your past results within the app. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

3. Data We Extract From YouTube

YTData extracts publicly available data from YouTube channels on your behalf. This data belongs to the respective YouTube channel owners and is already publicly visible on YouTube. We simply collect and present it in a structured format. We do not extract any private, unlisted, or restricted content.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. Your account data and extraction results are private to your account only. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.

5. Data Retention

Your account data and extraction results are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. Access to the admin panel and sensitive routes is restricted by multiple layers of authentication. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

YTData is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at unsolvedplease@gmail.com.
